Afghanistan
Afghanistan, officially the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, is a landlocked country located in South Asia and Central Asia. It shares borders with Pakistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and China. The capital and largest city is Kabul. Afghanistan has a diverse ethnic composition, with Pashtuns, Tajiks, Hazaras, and Uzbeks being the major groups. The country has a rich history, influenced by various cultures and empires, but has faced prolonged conflict and instability, particularly since the late 20th century. Afghanistan's economy is primarily based on agriculture, with opium production being a significant issue.
