Czecho-Slovak by birth, Belgian by law and residence, European at heart. Loves travel, philosophy, creative writing, natural sciences (physics and cosmology in particular), and the world of open-source (Drupal aficionado since 2006, early adopter of GatsbyJS, currently obsessed by NextJS), the idea of free, decentralized Internet, artificial intelligence ... and a googol other things!
Graduated from Technical University of Košice (Slovakia) in 1994 and from Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) in 1998. Worked as a researcher and webmaster at the Union of International Associations in Brussels between 2000-2012. From February 2012 to March 2017 active as a Drupal Technical Lead for Hewlett-Packard at the Flemish Authority (Vlaamse Overheid) in Brussels.
As of April 2017 expands web development, hosting and solutioning services world-wide through his company Vacilando BV.
Since February 2018 ICT architect at the Flanders Information Agency (AIV) of the Flemish Authority in Brussels.
Lead of the Encyclopedia of World Problems and Human Potential project of the UIA.
